Starbouche has been the secret weapon of Team Scuderia SA since he was 2-years-old. He has shown his incredible abilities when jumping out of the free jump corridor when getting familiar with it for the very first time. At 4 years old he has now been under the saddle for a year, reaching the point of confidently doing full courses. This prominent young horse combines the best jumpers of VDL Stud, also giving home to Olympian VDL Edgar M (1.60m), World Champion Bubalu VDL (1.60m) and more.

The sire of Starbouche, Insider comes as one of the firsts of the legendary Etoulon with the damline of Reserve World Champion Bacardi VDL. Insider’s dam produced three foals, all of which reached top levels of the sport with Ziro Percent (1.60m) and Forlan van de Sprengenberg (1.50m) beside Insider.

The damline of Starbouche brought great showjumpers to the scene so far, most notably with Shady Ashraf Hassan’s Jonker-A (1.60m) and 5* winner of Jérôme Guery, Fananka A (1.60m). This great-performing damline was put together with Baltic VDL (1.60m), making the ‘preferent’-predicate-earning stallion the sire of dam of Starbouche.

Although Starbouche is bigger than the average modern showjumper, he translates the qualities of Insider well, who is famous for giving blood, elasticity and power to his offsprings. Furthermore, Starbouche has great character, always eager to work, travels easy and is ready for the competition scene.
