Tagine SA is one of the success stories of our Scuderia SA family. She was selected by the Team at embryo stage and acquired through the auction of Stoeterij Zangersheide. Since then, she has been brought up, put under saddle while simultaneously having started her breeding career. Two of her foals, made possible via OPU/ICSI, are sold to France already, and she herself carries now an Ermitage Kalone offspring!
Ermitage Kalone delivers 2 years in a row "The Champion of the BWP Approval" (Ultra Star JM in 2023 and Vitalis JS in 2024). He has undoubtedly established himself as THE headline act in the show jumping scene. This outstanding athlete and crowd favourite won the gold medal at the Belgian Championships in 2023 and placed round after round in international show jumping competitions at top level. He doesn’t need an introduction, but Tagine’s pedigree is not far behind either.
Tagine’s extraordinary character and technique comes from her dam, Jenna van’t Meulenhof. Jenna is full sister to the non-other than the charismatic stallion, the Olympian Emerald Van’t Ruytershof, as well as another 1.60m performer, Diamanthina v/h Ruytershof! Tagine SA’s grandmother, Carthina Z produced many more top performers, beside her combinations from Diamant de Semilly: 1.60m level Herald van’t Ruytershof (Lord Z), Le Blue Diamond (Plot Blue) or 1.55m level Kentucky Van’t Ruytershof (For Pleasure). She is also the granddam of five 1.50m-1.60m performers!
But Tagine SA is the first foal to cross the lines of the full sister to celebrated stallion Emerald and Christian Ahlmann’s over €2.000.000 total prize winner Taloubet Z. They have won many of the biggest events like the World Cup Final of Lepzig, Nation Cups and they have also reached individual ninth at the Rio Olympics. He has a great number of offsprings, most notably the approved GCL level stallion Take A Chance On Me Z (1.65m), Taloubetdarco K Z (1.60m) or Aloubet KV (1.60m). As a sire, he is most recognizable to add his incredible power, unprecedented capacity and a super-fast foreleg.
